Sth America Part 1 - Canberra Airport

Welcome to our holiday blog diaries. South America - Part 1

Ant and I are sitting here at Canberra airport waiting for our flight to Melbourne to show up.

Our very original flight (leaving at a not too bad time of 9:30am) - was cancelled by Qantas. So they put us on a not so reasonable earlier flight (8am)...which meant that we had to get up at 6am to get to the airport by 7am.

Of course - when we got here - they had cancelled the 8am flight and are putting us on a 10am flight instead (just so we almost miss our connections to LAX via Melbourne). It would have been nice for Qantas to call us saying "don't worry about getting up super early as we have cancelled your flight and are putting you on a later one!"....

The Qantas woman at the Qantas Club counter felt like that Little Britain "Computer says no... cough!" woman when we tried getting decent seats. Ant says that it wasn't her fault - as Qantas had oversold the flight.

Anyway - things have to look up.

We will try to post to this thingy as much as possible (we can even put pictures or something onto it!).
